OMO Retail, an independent Spanish capital fund manager specialized in the tertiary retail sector, closes a new operation in Galicia. As Juan Olivié, investment director partner of the company , explained to idealista/news, the group has invested 5 million in the launch of a commercial park in the Nantes industrial estate, in Sanxenxo (Pontevedra). Omo Retail has a committed investment of 182 million euros in 24 projects.
The park will have a buildable area of 4,700 m2 on a plot of 11,700 m2, with 130 parking spaces. As Olivié explains, the operators that could occupy this space are restaurants, supermarkets or personal care such as gyms . The start of work is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024 and the end of work and opening for the end of the year.
This will be OMO Retail's second asset in Galicia. The first is a Chile Telemarketing Data location on Arteixo Avenue, in A Coruña, leased to the Dia supermarket chain. Likewise, the company is developing a project in the Madrid town of Arroyomolinos: a commercial park with 13,000 m2 of gross leasable area on a 22,000 m2 plot.
At the end of last year, OMO Retail continued its divestment phase with the sale of an asset leased to Altafit in Burgos, thus completing the process of adding value to the asset and rotating it. It is the fifth divestment carried out by OMO Retail within its second Omo Retail Invest 2020 fund. It is a commercial premises of more than 2,500 m2 in Burgos capital, located on Juan Ramón Jiménez street.
This operation is in addition to those carried out by OMO Retail throughout the year: the agreement reached with the Compensation Board responsible for the development of the El Cañaveral sector for the development of the largest retail and leisure park in Madrid capital; the sale of the Hotel Once Upon a Hotel located on Bravo Murillo Street in Madrid or the opening of a new DIA supermarket at its location on Avenida Arteixo, in La Coruña.
It is also moving forward with projects such as the construction of the Omo Gymrest Guadalajara retail park, on Eduardo Guitián Avenue; the construction of a commercial park in Vicálvaro (Madrid) and the acquisition of a 14,500 m2 land in Utrera (Seville) to develop a new retail park.
